  • The Alaska Highway runs more than 1,300 miles between British Columbia, Canada and Alaska. The trip to Anchorage via Canada varies by departure point, but you’ll want to plan on several days of travel time

HISTORY

  • A small settlement of approximately 800 people grew quickly in size and popularity when gold was discovered in the 1800's

  • San Francisco as destroyed by fire and earthquakes requiring the city to rebuild into a thriving multicultural city known for history and innovations​

  • Mediterranean type of climate with warm and dry summers and wet/mild winter

  • Progressive city that welcomes and embraces the LGBTQ+ community

  • Easiest way to get to San Francisco is to fly into the San Francisco Airport (SFO) and is only 13 miles south of downtown 

  • Very diverse in terms of art, music, cuisine, festivals and home to the largest and oldest Chinatown

While this small section of the state only accounts for 4% of all of the wine grapes grown in California, it is home to approximately 430 wineries producing 815 different wines. Almost all of the wineries in Napa Valley are family-owned, which means when you visit, you'll be treated to the most authentic experience. Tour some of the region's most beautiful vineyards and enjoy a private tasting in the wine cellar when you visit Napa Valley
